In regards to lighting, I would usually recommend Dusk to Dawn Lights on a Photo-cell. LED’s are probably the best with your location back in the woods. A lot of outdoor lighting makes it more noticeable from the main road and would offset it.

Motion lights are nice to balance both. The issue with them is false alerts due to non-humans. We have smart cameras with analytics that are about 95% accurate in detecting humans and vehicles while ignoring everything else. We also offer built-in, but that would require updated hardware.

Good outdoor lighting will keep the cameras in color mode and you won’t need the Infrared. This will give you all the benefits of color. There are now, newer low light cameras that would be around $ 175-250. These go down to .01 lux and some less than that for a few more bucks. The 2722 model you have goes down to .01 with AGC on. So that brightens the case for regular outdoor lighting, so you don’t need the IR normally. It’s still good to have as a backup in case the regular outdoor lights are off, broken, or vandalized. 

You may want to add a UPS to the Camera system power supply and recorder to your outdoor lighting. Keep this running for a while. Plus, this filters the power better, but I suspect you know all about that 🙂
